Despite swirling rumors online, FBI Director Kash Patel is not resigning from his position—unless President Trump personally decides to remove him, according to credible reports.
Earlier on Friday, social media was flooded with speculation that Patel might step down following reported internal conflict with Attorney General Pam Bondi. These rumors came shortly after FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino took a sudden leave of absence following what sources describe as a heated dispute with Bondi.
According to reports from CNN and The Daily Wire, Bongino is seriously considering stepping down if Bondi continues to lead the Justice Department. The dispute reportedly centers on Bondi’s alleged suppression of critical evidence related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Some outlets also claimed that Patel had grown frustrated with the DOJ’s internal resistance and might follow Bongino’s lead. However, that narrative was challenged late Friday by investigative journalist John Solomon, who clarified that Patel remains firmly committed to his position.
Kash Patel Leads Major FBI Investigation
John Solomon reported that Patel is overseeing a massive FBI investigation—one that spans over ten years and focuses on coordinated efforts to sabotage Donald Trump’s political career. According to Solomon, the investigation is one of the largest of its kind and involves uncovering alleged misconduct by federal agencies aimed at blocking Trump’s presidency and re-election efforts.
“There’s talk online suggesting Kash Patel is leaving, but it’s not true,” Solomon stated. “Unless the President tells him otherwise, Patel is staying. He’s leading a case too important to walk away from.”
Solomon also hinted that major developments from this investigation are expected to be released within the next 10 days. These revelations are said to include evidence showing how certain federal officials worked behind the scenes to influence elections and obstruct Trump’s political rise.
Dan Bongino’s Status Still Uncertain
While Patel is staying put, Dan Bongino’s future remains uncertain. Sources say Bongino took time off to reflect after his recent clash with Bondi. Those familiar with him note that he has taken similar breaks in the past during moments of frustration and may return after a few days.
Solomon suggested that internal conflicts and media drama have distracted from the core issue—the scope of the FBI’s ongoing investigation.
“This isn’t just about office politics,” Solomon added. “What’s coming could reveal the full scale of how federal institutions were used to interfere in the political process.”
Major Revelations Expected Soon
Supporters of Donald Trump have long asked, “Where’s the accountability?” According to Solomon, they may soon get answers. The investigation reportedly traces the origins of the alleged conspiracy back to before the launch of Operation Crossfire Hurricane and follows it through attempts to block Trump’s return in 2024.
For now, Kash Patel remains fully engaged in the FBI’s work. Despite social media buzz, his role is secure, and the investigation continues to move forward.
