A public feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has erupted, drawing attention across political and tech communities.
Musk Drops Shocking Epstein Allegation
The dispute started over electric vehicle (EV) policy. But it took a sharp turn Thursday when Elon Musk made a bold claim.
He posted on X, accusing Trump of being named in sealed Jeffrey Epstein files.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files,” Musk wrote to his 200 million followers.
He offered no proof but added a cryptic follow-up:
“Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
The claim shocked many, even those familiar with their rocky history.

Feud Began Over EV Legislation
Tensions had been rising due to Trump’s proposed $1.6 trillion energy bill. The bill removes federal EV subsidies and imposes fees on electric car owners.
Trump told reporters Musk supported the bill at first.
“He knew everything about it. Then he changed his mind after we cut the EV mandate,” Trump said.
Musk fired back, denying the accusation.
“False. I never saw the bill. It passed so fast, even Congress didn’t read it,” he posted.
Trump Responds on Truth Social
Trump called Musk “crazy” in a Truth Social post. He claimed credit for blocking forced EV purchases in the bill.
He added:
“We can save billions by cutting Elon’s federal subsidies and contracts.”
That statement suggested possible federal retaliation against Musk’s companies.
Musk Fights Back Online
Musk has posted more than 20 times opposing the bill. He’s calling it a “disgusting abomination.”
He urged Americans to contact Congress and reject the legislation.
“Call your Senator. Call your Congressman. Bankrupting America is NOT ok!” Musk wrote.
The battle has split conservative circles. Some back Trump. Others support Musk for taking a stand.
Epstein Files Back in the Spotlight
The feud escalates just as pressure builds to release Epstein-related documents. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is leading efforts to unseal the files.
Earlier this year, limited records were released. These included redacted flight logs and evidence lists. Bondi says most of the material remains hidden. Her office is pushing the FBI for full disclosure.
The agency insists Epstein’s death was suicide, citing sealed video and forensic evidence.

A Fractured Alliance
The war of words has exposed deep divisions between two powerful American figures.
What started as a policy disagreement has now turned personal—and potentially political.
Observers warn the fallout could split a once-strong alliance between populist conservatives and tech leaders.
