Russian President Vladimir Putin calls for peace in Ukraine and expresses that Russia is “willing to begin the discussions” with U.S. President Trump.
Russian President Putin congratulated to the new President-elect Donald Trump ahead of his inauguration, expressing a willingness to talk about the war and start peace negotiations.
Putin highlighted his readiness to collaborate with the incoming Trump administration, particularly on matters concerning Russia’s ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
According to many reports Trump has a big desire to meet with Putin “very soon” after assuming office. While the Kremlin welcomed these comments, it clarified that there are still no arrangements for such a meeting but they are currently in progress.
