“The conversation is in preparation,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a daily press briefing.
Trump said last night that he would speak with Putin as part of U.S.-Russian efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
“A lot has already been discussed with both sides – Ukraine and Russia. “We will talk about that, about sharing certain resources,” Trump said on the presidential plane, alluding to “exchanges of parts of territory and power plants.”

During recent talks between Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia, a 30-day ceasefire was proposed. U.S. Representative Steve Witkov conveyed the proposal to Putin.
This will be the second phone conversation between the two leaders this year, after they discussed bilateral relations and the situation in Ukraine on February 12.
