What’s Included in the Budget Plan?
The resolution features key pillars of Trump’s agenda, including:
- Lower taxes for American families
- Border security improvements
- Support for U.S. energy independence
- Spending cuts across federal departments, including the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
Speaker Mike Johnson Confirms Support Before Vote
House Speaker Mike Johnson announced early Thursday that he had enough votes to pass the resolution.
“This morning, I believe we have the votes to finally adopt the budget resolution,” Johnson said. “It’s a key step for President Trump’s agenda.”

Trump Praises Victory on Truth Social
Former President Donald Trump celebrated the win shortly after the vote.
“Congratulations to the House on the passage of a Bill that sets the stage for one of the Greatest and Most Important Signings in the History of our Country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He added, “Among many other things, it will be the Largest Tax and Regulation Cuts ever even contemplated. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
