The Bermuda Triangle, an area in the western Atlantic that is said to be responsible for the deaths of many aircraft crews and ships, at least 8,000 times over the past 174 years, is an eternal mystery.
Many scientists have tried to solve this mystery, and the public has put forward numerous conspiracy theories.
The mysterious Bermuda Triangle, also known as the “Devil’s Triangle,” “Triangle of Death,” and “Graveyard of the Atlantic,” is located in the North Atlantic Ocean between Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. When these points are connected, they form a triangle, which is why this part of the ocean got its name.

Urban legends say that this is a place where the usual maritime rules do not apply. When the Bermuda Triangle is mentioned, it inspires fear in everyone and they wonder what will happen if they ever find themselves there.
It is claimed that there is a so-called time vortex there, that aliens live there or that there is a wormhole there. It is believed that about 50 ships and 20 planes have disappeared in this part of the ocean. No wonder, then, that it is associated with numerous conspiracy theories.
Many scientists have been trying to solve the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle for years. One theory is that monstrous waves are created there. This was explained by oceanographer Simon Bokal from the University of Southampton in the documentary “Secrets of the Bermuda Triangle”.
He described these waves as violent and unpredictable currents that can reach twice the size of the surrounding waves. In the south and north there are storms converging.
Other researchers, however, suspect that geology may be responsible for the missing ships and planes. In the documentary “Secrets of the Bermuda Triangle,” mineral expert Nick Hutchings put forward the idea that a mineral found in an “underwater volcano” may have diverted travelers from their path.
“Bermuda is basically a seamount, an underwater volcano. Thirty million years ago, it rose above sea level. Now it’s eroded and all we have left is the top of the volcano. We have several core samples that contain magnetite. It’s the most magnetic natural material on Earth,” he said.
