Yesterday a new wildfire broke out at Castaic, California that rapidly spread out and burn around 9,000 acres.
Everything happened so fast, within a matter of few hours on Wednesday, a newly ignited fire expanded to nearly two-thirds the size of the Eaton Fire, one of two massive blazes that have devastated the Los Angeles region.
The spokesperson from the fire department Matthew Van Hagen, noted that the impacted area was less densely populated compared to those earlier fires.
“It’s a more remote location. However, we are facing strong winds here, similar to what we encountered with the other fires, along with a highly combustible fuel bed and challenging steep terrain,” he explained as firefighters worked tirelessly through the night to contain the flames.
The Firefighters are battling to get the control over the massive and fast-spreading wildfire that has raged through the rugged mountains north of LA.
The blaze, which broke out Wednesday, has prompted evacuation orders or warnings for more than 50,000 people.
