Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is sounding the alarm on a hidden crisis that could disrupt the pharmaceutical industry. He argues that mental health isn’t just about brain chemistry—it’s about what we eat.
“Studies from Stanford and Harvard show that diet plays a major role in mental health,” Kennedy said on Fox News with Sean Hannity. “Many cases of anxiety and depression link directly to food choices. Change your diet, and you can reduce or even eliminate some diagnoses.”

Fox News reports that 40% of American teenagers struggle with anxiety or depression.
Kennedy points out that this issue isn’t global. In the U.S., 40% of adults are dealing with obesity. In Japan, that number is only 5%, and the average lifespan is seven years longer.
The culprit? Harmful ingredients in our food. The U.S. allows more than 1,000 additives banned in Europe.
“We are failing our kids,” Kennedy warned. “This isn’t just a moral issue—it’s financial. Healthcare costs are skyrocketing, and the only real solution is changing our diet.”
The American food system fuels chronic illness. Meanwhile, pharmaceutical companies profit from the consequences. But change is happening. Kennedy’s message is gaining traction, and some restaurants are stepping up.

Steak ’n Shake has swapped seed oils for beef tallow in its fryers. Sweetgreen plans to remove seed oils completely, replacing them with avocado oil. Outback Steakhouse is also reviewing its ingredients in response to consumer demand for healthier food.
For decades, Americans have eaten ultra-processed junk while being told that pills were the answer. Now, the truth is emerging—what we eat matters, not just for our bodies but for our minds.
