A woman from Northern California is facing online criticism after posting a video in which she confronts an elderly woman about a shirt the she was wearing.
The encounter took place inside a Target store in Orland, California. The employee was stocking baby clothing when the confrontation occurred.
Video Shows Heated Exchange Inside Store
The video, later shared on TikTok, shows the shopper questioning the older employee about a red shirt featuring the word “Freedom.” The shirt referenced conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The employee appeared surprised by the interaction and asked why she was being filmed. She calmly explained that she was allowed to wear a red shirt under store guidelines.
Despite this explanation, the shopper continued pressing the issue and requested to speak with a manager. She described the shirt as inappropriate.

Employee Remains Calm Throughout Interaction
The Target worker remained composed during the exchange. She disputed claims made about the individual referenced on the shirt and did not raise her voice. Before the video ends, she politely wishes the shopper a nice day and walks away.
Woman Identified as Healthcare Worker
The woman who recorded the video was later identified as Michelea Ponce. Publicly available social media information lists her as a nurse employed by Enloe Health, a nonprofit healthcare provider based in Chico.
At the time of the incident, Ponce operated a TikTok account under the username @motherofballers. The account had nearly 20,000 followers and more than one million total likes.
Online Reaction and Calls for Accountability
After the video spread online, many viewers criticized Ponce’s behavior. Some accused her of harassing a retail worker. Others called for action from both her employer and the retail chain.
Several users also urged Target to prevent similar incidents by enforcing stronger in-store filming policies.
Employer Has Not Issued Public Statement
As of publication, Enloe Health has not released a public response regarding the situation. The Gateway Pundit reported that it contacted the healthcare system for comment and stated that updates would be provided if a response is received.
Shortly after media attention increased, Ponce either deactivated or restricted access to her social media accounts.
